Remembering the places must be challenging enough in this song.

Ichabod1031-This song was written by Geoff Mack in 1959 --But it will always be linked to Hank Snow--and no one does it better!

Wow--try reading something that fast--only in a song!

Absolutly.when Hank Snow tunes up--You KNOW who it is! I don't listen to much of "todays country music"--cause---first--it aint country--and second--it all sounds the same! When Web Peirce, Hank Williams, Roy Acuff, Merl Haggard sang a song--YOU KNEW WHO THEY WERE----right off! Thank God for YOUTUBE!

Your right, he was a great guitar player! I was trying Nashville out in the 80's and he had a reputation as being a great player. I like his voice as much as anyone singing today, as well. You can't mistake who's singing when he strikes a note! Most of todays "country stars" (they think they are country)sound alike! What a crock of cookie cutter sound alikes!! Thanks for sharing the memories..

See--Hank Snow was one of the BEST Guitar players that Nashville had ever seen..and he enjoyed playing it--cept in this song...He didn't play so that he could consentrate on the words..Hank--we love Ya!
