Back in the dim ages I 1st heard this song at our campfire at summer camp. Of course we used different wording ***tee hee*** Gods. It brings back memories.

I remeber when I first heard that song. I was 5 or 6, and we had a campfire, and my Dad started singing it while we watched ants on a piece of bark run around trying to escape from the flames. Except he used a slightly different tune, and instead of "husbands and wives", he said "there were uncles, there were ants...little children lost their pants. It was said when the great ship went down, to the bottom of the sea."Until now, I thought he made it up on the spot.

I LOVE the way Roy sings the line: "God, with power in his hand, showed the world it could not stand..." He puts so much sheer CONVICTION into that. Roy was such an amazing singer-and Oswald, such an incredible Dobro player...I miss them both.
