In the new rolling Stone, they have recognized him as one of the greatest voices of our era. I have always liked his music, but I must be growing up because now i really get his voice too. It's just like "how could he not sing with so much feeling"...he can't.

So true- just got done reading "I lived to tell it all" and she is a damn strong woman. I'm kind of going through what she did right now, to a lesser degree and some days I am ready to take off. Reading George's book, I can't imagine what she must have felt being kicked off tour busses and protecting him froe the alabama drug underworld. Would love to read her point of view of that time period and how she kept going standing with him.

Actually, George Jones is a recovering alcoholic and has been sober for quite a few years, I'm sure he's read a big book. I think he sang this for those who still suffer. If you've read a big book for whatever reason, God bless you.
