When Flowers gets to Vegas, he sees something unexpected "a city wall and a trampoline" The city wall symbolizes a barrier, likely the one he faced from living most of his life in a small town and the shock of moving back to a big city. The trampoline is an allusion to Las Vegas, as a way to help him over the wall. Hes giving you the image fragments and can you put them together to make a story. The whole song is about the sorta stuff you might see if in brandons mind."Can you read my mind?"

The song refers to his need for escape. In his childhood he moved from Las Vegas to Utah and always desired to escape from it and return "I never gave up on breaking outta this 2-star town. I've go a green light (driving motive), I've got a little fight, I'm gonna turn this thing around". The music video shows a colorful, crazy, fun, and controversal (gay rights) city ((Las Vegas)) and boring trapping place ((Utah)).A |
